Jalaz Kumar is an experienced Software Development Engineer 2 at Flipkart, with a strong background in Data Structures & Algorithms, Software Development, Distributed Systems, and Data Science. With a relevant experience of 3.78 years, Jalaz has designed and deployed UserGroup Search API, which helped in enhancing the SEO ranking of IM supplier pages. He has also re-architectured Catalog Search API using best industrial principles with the aim of a highly decoupled, maintainable, and easily modifiable service layer. Jalaz has worked with tech stacks like Java, Spring Boot, Apache Solr, and JUnit-Mockito. Before joining Flipkart, Jalaz worked as a Senior Engineer at IndiaMART, where he was responsible for designing and deploying UserGroup Search API and re-architecturing Catalog Search API using best industrial principles. Jalaz also worked as a Summer Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, where he developed a UI Desktop application for interactive visualization of large-scale medical datasets on consumer-level GPUs using Octree-based space partitioning. He used CUDA C & OpenGL for this project. Jalaz holds a Dual Degree in B.Tech. & M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Hamirpur. He also completed his Intermediate from Army Public School, Almora, and his Primary education from Army Public School, Roorkee.
