Prior to AND Digital, James worked at Impala as a Senior Software Engineer, where he helped connect products to hotel data in minutes. His work included building NodeJS microservices (express / NodeJS / ES6 JavaScript / MongoDB / PostgreSQL), automating everything infrastructure (AWS / Terraform / CircleCI / Docker / ECS), and designing technical assessments and performing technical interviews. Before Impala, James worked at Hive.hr as a Software Engineer, where he automated AWS infrastructure deployments across multiple environments with Terraform, developed a responsive SPA with React & Apollo GraphQL, and built Node.JS microservices, deployed with Docker containers (TypeScript, GRPC, express, MongoDB). He also worked on centralized logging with Kibana, ElasticSearch, FileBeat & LogStash. James completed his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology from the University of Leeds in 2016. He also attended The King's School, Grantham, from 2005 to 2012.
