Jamie Diner is a Data Science Manager at Warner Bros. Discovery and a passionate machine learning expert with over 8 years of relevant experience. He believes that the Petabytes of data created every day hold patterns that could serve as a window into the future, and he considers himself a seer who can help organizations analyze their data to understand the past and prepare for the future. Jamie's passion for machine learning started during his undergraduate thesis, where he developed a system using computer vision to count cars on the street, for which he received honors. He later started his own startup to forecast sports results, experimenting with multiple algorithms and data mining techniques, which helped him gain programming proficiency to extract valuable insights from data. To gain first-hand business know-how, Jamie worked as a Sales Engineer, improving his strategic reasoning, team working skills, and business understanding. He then joined the Machine Learning team at Adobe, where he used his passion for machine learning to think of new algorithms to improve their system, implemented them using his programming proficiency, and aligned the system with the customer's incentive using his business knowledge. Jamie is currently finishing his Masters's degree in Information Systems Management, Business Intelligence, and Data Analytics at Carnegie Mellon University, where he is also doing his second summer internship at the Machine Learning team at Adobe. His TechStack includes Data Scientist, ML, Computer Vision, and Research Scientist. Jamie's past experience includes working as a Data Science Manager at Discovery and a Data Scientist at NBCUniversal Media, LLC.
