Jane Philipps is a software engineer with over 12 years of experience in the industry. Currently, she is working as a Software Engineer in the Core Platform Web Team at Pinterest. In her current role, she is responsible for developing and maintaining the core platform of the website. She has also worked as an Apprentice Software Engineer in the same team at Pinterest. During her tenure, she worked with Product and Design teams to rebuild the Report Pin flow on Mobile Web and start building Messaging for Mobile Web. Before venturing into the tech industry, Jane was an artist. She has experience in visual art and branding design. She developed her personal studio practice continually creating new work and branding visual design, including website, business cards, print collateral, and email marketing. She also developed her personal story through writing artist statements, biography, blog posts, and email newsletters. She has showcased her work in various exhibitions, including Crown Salon, McGuire Furniture Gallery, St. Mark's School 150th Reunion Art Show, West Coast Craft, and Textilis. Jane holds a Web Development Immersive degree from General Assembly and a B.F.A. degree in Printmaking/Drawing and Writing from Washington University in St. Louis. Her technical skills include Web Development, Software Engineering, and Mobile Development. Jane is a highly motivated individual with a passion for technology and art.
