Janika Gahalot is an experienced Software Engineer III at Urban Company, with over 7 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, she is working as an Intern at Commonfloor, where she is responsible for feature development of the Commonfloor App and fixing the existing bugs. She has also worked on building a new Location Search feature using search selection optimization and introduced an Action Bar in the app for better navigation flow and refined the UI of the App. Prior to her current role, Janika has worked with Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, where she studied Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to identify a particular individual by analyzing and comparing patterns. She has successfully implemented the Eigen face approach for recognizing a particular face in a given dataset and worked in different conditions like face orientations, expressions, light, etc. She has also worked as a Software Developer at Housing, where she worked on the main App of Housing specifically in the Buy Services, integrated Uber cab services in the Housing App, and created a Developer Filter to make search more discrete and particular for users. Janika has also added new cards to make the detail page and configuration page more informative with different interactions. Janika holds an Integrated MSc degree in Applied Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and has completed her schooling from Delhi Public School. She has a strong tech stack, including Software Engineering, Android, Integration, SQL, Test, Search, and UI. With her vast experience and skills, Janika is a valuable asset to any organization she works with.
