Jason Booth is a highly skilled Software Engineer at Google, where he is currently working on the Infrastructure Team within Apigee. He is responsible for developing and implementing scanner systems to proactively analyze vulnerabilities for assets across Apigee in order to obtain FedRAMP certification. Under his leadership, the team qualified for FedRAMP moderate in 2021, opening a pipeline of XX million dollars in potential new deals for GCP for customers requiring extra security guarantees such as hospitals and banks. Jason is also working on improving the scalability of Google's logging and metrics infrastructure to handle scaling up of demand to billions of API calls per day. Prior to joining Google, he was a Software Engineering Intern at Databricks, where he was part of the Workspace team responsible for the flagship collaborative notebooks product and the services used to enable interactive data science and machine learning across environments. He reduced disparities and data loss while importing and exporting Databricks Notebooks to the industry standard nbformat storage. He also enabled the use of Matplotlib inline for graphing within Databricks notebooks for a better developer/analyst experience. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University, where he graduated in 2020. He also has a high school degree from Lunenburg High School, where he graduated in 2011.
