Jason Johnson is an accomplished Engineering Leader with 17 years of experience in developing and maintaining highly reliable, scalable web systems. He is currently serving as a Sr. Manager of Site Reliability Engineering at Twitter, where he leads a team of engineers responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of Twitter's web systems. Jason is a full-stack engineer who has worked on both development and systems roles, giving him a unique perspective on the devops field. He is passionate about building and maintaining highly reliable, scalable web systems. His expertise includes front-end and back-end development, systems engineering, and systems architecture. Prior to Twitter, Jason held leadership positions at Facebook and LinkedIn, where he served as a Production Engineering Manager and Sr. Manager of Site Reliability Engineering, respectively. At LinkedIn, he was responsible for platform and performance SRE and capacity engineering, creating insights into performance and capacity impact throughout all stages of the SDLC. Jason holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of South Dakota and completed his studies in Computer and Information Sciences at Colorado Technical University. As a Senior Software Engineer, Jason has a deep understanding of SRE, Frontend, Backend, DevOps, and Web technologies.
