Jason Morganson is a seasoned technology professional with over 17 years of experience in software engineering, AI, and machine learning. He is currently the Team Lead at Cherre, where he leads the Core Data team responsible for collecting and indexing real estate data from around the world. His team's work forms the foundation for the suite of machine learning algorithms and AI technology that Cherre offers. Jason has a wealth of experience in software engineering, having worked in leadership roles at several companies in the past. He was previously the Head of Engineering at Credsimple, where he acted as both CTO and VP of Engineering. He managed a team of 10, including software engineers, data scientists, and devops engineers, and led the team through a technical system redesign to prepare for growth. Before that, he was the Director of Engineering at Gamechanger Media, Inc., where he managed a team of eight and coordinated a cohesive cross-functional team. Jason's education background includes a degree in Software Engineering and Computer Science from Clarkson University and additional coursework in Software Engineering and Software Development from Champlain College. He has a diverse tech stack that includes expertise in Apache Airflow, CI/CD, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Javascript, microservices, ETL, Postgres, and DevOps. Jason is a proponent of good architecture and agile processes. He is proud of driving Cherre's microservices architecture, which enables rapid development for multiple product streams and allows the separation of logic from controllers. He believes in empowering engineers to make the biggest business impact possible while reaching their professional development goals.
