Javed Hussain is an experienced investment professional with a focus on early-stage startups and emerging technologies. Currently serving as AVP - Investments at 3to1 Capital, Javed is responsible for syndicating high-growth early-stage deals with smart founders across various industries such as Emerging Tech, SaaS, B2C, and D2C. He has successfully executed 6 deals since the launch of the debut investment vehicle in early 2021, along with 20 other investments made by the GPs in their personal capacity. Javed's previous experience includes working at Scaale Capital, a boutique investment bank, where he led early-stage investing, cross-border M&A mandates, and strategic transaction advisory in the startups and ventures ecosystem. He has worked in industries such as ed-tech, clean-tech, technology, mobile applications, robotics, and the internet, among others. He was responsible for the end-to-end execution of fundraise mandates, which involved activities such as performing valuation, preparing entrepreneurs in creating a quantified & defendable investment proposition, and managing roadshows with global investors. Javed's education background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Chanakya Education Society's Indira College of Commerce & Science, Pune, and HSC, SSC from Birla School, Pilani. He is also a CFA Level III Candidate. Javed's tech stack includes AI and mobile technologies. He has relevant experience of 3.54 years in the investment industry and has worked with startups in creating business plans, valuation models, and exit strategies.
