Jay Dihenkar is a highly skilled Software Development Engineer with over 6 years of relevant experience in the tech industry. He is currently working as a Software Development Engineer - 3 (SDE-L3) at blinkit, where he is responsible for building and maintaining the company's software infrastructure. Jay is also actively involved in hiring for the company. Jay's expertise lies in DevOps, DevEx, SRE, CI/CD, platform engineering, and cloud-native technologies. He has hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Python, Tekton, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Skaffold, Kyverno, AWS, Cassandra, ELK, and other relevant tools and technologies. At blinkit, Jay has been instrumental in implementing GitOps deployment with ArgoCD for Kubernetes and tooling for ECS GitOps strategy. He has also introduced service mesh architecture over hybrid (EC2/ECS/EKS) workloads by implementing Kuma as a universal service mesh. Jay has enabled canary deployments as a platform capability for the safe rollout of changes to production, improving systems reliability and minimizing bad deployments. Jay has also developed developer productivity tooling for inner/outer dev loop with Skaffold, Docker, Kubernetes, telepresence. He has implemented Config and Secret Management for Kubernetes with external secrets operator, confimap, consul kvs and CRD and vault. He has also developed CICD platform and platform tooling for easy onboarding of projects' pipelines with Jenkins and Tekton. In addition to his work at blinkit, Jay has also made significant contributions to Kubernetes platform projects such as overprovisioning, storage classes, kyverno, and ingress. He has also experimented with keptn, open-telemetry, varnish on k8s, gloo/flagger, keda. Jay has previously worked at evive, where he served as an Architect, Infrastructure Systems (SDE-L3) and a Jr. Systems Architect (SDE-L2). At evive, he was responsible for designing and maintaining the company's on-prem servers admin for production infra (Rackspace) and contributed to CICD, Cloud Migration Project, Datapipelines and DataOps, Security Projects, and load testing. Jay holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology. He also completed his HSC in Science from St. Joseph's E.T.
