Jay Gajjar is an IT Analyst/Developer at Canada Revenue Agency - Agence du revenu du Canada with almost 4 years of relevant experience in the field of Software Development. He started his journey as a Software Developer by creating simple applications with pure Java or PHP as the back end and simple HTML/CSS for the frontend for friends and relatives who started a new business, for instance, restaurants or a new startup. With no more than basic knowledge, he had no idea of how vast the Software Development universe was. Jay is a curious cat who continued to explore the various new methods, languages, scripts, and platforms. With Bootstrap, it was love at first sight, so perfect, almost satisfying his OCD for precision with beauty, reducing his workload, giving him more accurate results. Currently, he is comfortable with Spring Boot, Java, NodeJS, ExpressJS, Python, Agile, Test Driven Development, Cloud Technologies like AWS, OpenStack, Azure, Serverless, and Docker, along with front-end technologies and frameworks like ReactJS, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and MySQL. Apart from Software Development, Jay loves playing soccer, a passion that closely follows the former. He loves to explore new places, though he would prefer a silent calm place over crowded streets or beaches, perhaps a nice log cabin in the woods with a warm fireplace when it snows? Jay is currently working as an FCS Teaching Assistant at Dalhousie University. He has worked as a Freelance Web Developer in the past. He has a Master's degree in Applied Computing Science from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor's degree in Technology - BTech in Computer Science from Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Jay's tech stack includes Software Engineer, PHP, AWS, Frontend, Java, test, Docker, Javascript, MySQL, Spring Boot, Spring, Azure, Backend, Web, NodeJS, Python, and ReactJS.
