Jay Kothari is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer at Wipro Limited with a deep understanding of Linux system programming, Linux kernel programming, and OS implementation. With nearly 8 years of relevant experience, Jay has extensive experience in embedded software development and testing, firmware development and testing in C/C++ for embedded projects, multithreading application, Linux network programming, and low level device drivers. He has worked on ARM/x86 architectures and has sound knowledge of operating systems. Jay has also gained experience in RTDM device drivers for Xenomai RTOS, Embedded Linux with Xenomai co-kernel, and RTSP Live555 library. He has knowledge of multimedia codecs like H264, H265, MJPEG, and MPEG4 and basic knowledge of software decoder like FFMPEG. In his current role at Wipro, Jay is working on a project from Magneti Marelli, where his team is responsible for BSP. He has contributed to the project by writing a Persistence library using SQLite3 database. Prior to working at Wipro, Jay worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Visteon Corporation, where he was part of the OS/BSP team responsible for bringing up the board. He has experience in porting/configuration of QNX as hypervisor and Android as guest OS, touch panel, temp sensor, various variant management on a single code base, write TFT display userspace driver for configuring/bringup using SPI (bit bang driver), and early display bring-up in QNX. Jay has also worked as an Associate Architect Software Development at Matrix Comsec, where he conducted system study and coordinated with team members for system design, implementation, integration, and development/maintenance. Jay holds a Master's degree in VLSI and Embedded System Design from Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Atmiya Institute of Technology & Science. He also completed his schooling from St Mary's Rajkot and S.N.K. Jay's tech stack includes software engineering, testing, C, Android, senior software engineering, and integration.
