Jay Shukla is a business-minded technical team lead with over 12 years of experience in the field of big data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. He has a demonstrated ability to extract valuable insights from data using ML and AI models. Currently, Jay is working as a Technical Team Lead at Walmart IDC in Bangalore, Karnataka. He has hands-on experience in defining the architecture of systems on Azure/GCP and has worked on data processing with Pyspark and machine learning models to help with text classification. He has also migrated and helped the team to do migration to Google Cloud/GBQ. Jay has optimized spark jobs and code to give output in less time in Databricks. Prior to joining Walmart, Jay worked at Envestnet|Yodlee as a Member of Technical Staff where he delivered DeDuplication algorithm for financial data with the help of Spark. He has also worked on machine learning models with the help of Fasttext for text classification and built the NLP Spacy model for PII masking with the help of machine learning and Spark. Jay has optimized Spark jobs and code to give output in less time in AWS EMR. Before joining Envestnet|Yodlee, Jay worked at Juniper Networks as a Big Data Analytics – SDET-3. He worked on NLTK and built text classification algorithms for JTAC data. With the help of Python, he built algorithms for big data analytics and has a good understanding of Scipy, Numpy, and Matplotlib in Python. He has also worked on clustering, regression, and classification algorithms. Jay has written Spark jobs with performance tuning and wrote Kafka consumer scripts and live production monitoring scripts for data validation in Python. Jay holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from L.D. College of Engineering in Gujarat, India.
