Jayadev E is an experienced Research and Development Engineer with over 9 years of experience in the semiconductors industry. He is currently working as an R&D Engineer Firmware I at Broadcom Limited, where he is responsible for firmware development for the 802.11 lower mac controller in low-level assembly language. He develops and incorporates new features/algorithms in the mac layer for enhancing performance and reducing power consumption. Jayadev has a strong background in Embedded Software, WLAN, Low-power Design, Operating Systems, and Embedded C. He has a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from NIT Calicut. During his time at Broadcom, Jayadev has been involved in designing and delivering the market's #1 low-power chip. He has also designed the state machine describing transitions between different operating/power states of the chip. He has implemented power-saving techniques (Noa and CT window) for a P2P group client (GC) and developed infrastructure for roaming the firmware/init-sequence and developing patches. Additionally, he has designed and developed an event logger for debugging. Before joining Broadcom, Jayadev worked as a Summer Intern at Texas Instruments in the SoC-DFT team. His objective was to reduce the capture power during At-speed testing. He added multiple power clock gate enables to the design to give better control to the tool. He also generated low power TFT (Transition Fault testing) patterns using Cadence Encounter Test and analyzed the power dissipated by these patterns.
