Jayajyoti Sengupta is a highly experienced Managing Director with over 26 years of experience in the IT industry. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Infosys, TCS, and Cognizant. Currently, Jayajyoti is the Managing Director, APAC (ANZ, Japan, ASEAN, China, India & Middle East) at Cognizant, where he is responsible for incubating and building the business across all markets in the region. Jayajyoti's key responsibilities include P&L management, sales, strategy, and business operations. He has achieved significant success in his career, winning many transformational deals in the region and delivering industry-leading growth. He has also influenced multiple CxOs in their roadmap towards technology-led business growth and won significant market share in Asia Pacific. In addition to his current role, Jayajyoti has held several other senior positions in Cognizant, including Managing Director, Northern Europe, and Managing Partner, Banking & Financial Services. In these roles, he was responsible for setting up sales offices, building local teams, and establishing global delivery networks. He also won many strategic deals in infrastructure services and business process outsourcing with major financial services, automotive, life sciences, manufacturing & logistics providers in the region. Jayajyoti holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and an Executive Institute degree from Stanford University. He is a tech expert with experience in infrastructure and has worked with all major product vendors dominant in the region for core banking, reconciliation, and market feeds. Jayajyoti is a highly respected industry leader and has won numerous international awards and recognition from analysts and the influencer community. He has also been invited to speak at industry bodies and academia, including the World Economic Forum, Indian Institute of Management, and NUS Singapore.
