Jayant Prakash is an experienced Software Engineer with over 6 years of experience in the computer networking industry. He is currently working as a Software Engineer 2 at Cisco, where he is a member of the Infrastructure Development Team (IDT) in the Engineering Division for Service Provider Networking Software and Automation (SPNSA). Jayant has designed, developed, and deployed automated test suites on Cisco "CQE", a SaaS-based platform for automation development of routing platforms. He has also managed a python automation framework with modelled and cli APIs, bringing down 90 days manual effort to 72 hours script run. Jayant has led AAA and Macsec component for feature deployment and fixed related issues for external and internal clients. Jayant has developed infrastructure code to dynamically create any given network topology with minimal manual input. He has also automated SNMP, AAA, OSPF, BGP, Macsec, and Environment Monitoring on IOS XR as part of Network Automation Infrastructure. Jayant has provided valued support to internal infrastructure infra code by identifying and fixing various errors and inaccuracies. Jayant has previously worked as a Network Consulting Engineer and Data Centre Intern at Cisco. He was responsible for providing risk analysis reports for customers upgrading network device(s) to new OS image. Jayant has also automated APIC (Application Policy Infrastructure Controller) using Cobra SDK for CISCO ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure). Jayant is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering from San Jose State University, which he is expected to complete in December 2022. He has a Bachelor's degree and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from Manipal Institute of Technology. Jayant's technical skills include Software Engineering, infra, test, Python, Spring, and iOS. He is seeking a summer/spring 2022 software engineering co-op/internship to further enhance his skills and gain more experience in the field.
