Jayanth Kumar is an experienced Tech Lead with a passion for designing and building SaaS solutions for enterprises and start-ups. With over 8 years of experience, he has expertise in backend technologies, big data technologies, ML systems, and DevOps engineering. He is currently working as an Engineering Manager at Delhivery, where he leads a team of 12 developers responsible for building scalable SaaS solutions for logistics applications that will power supply chains and drive impact across multi-billion dollar logistics industry and businesses across the world. Jayanth has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) Honours from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Data Mining and Applications from Stanford University. He has contributed to shipping 2 products and an SDK along with side patents and research papers at SAP. He has also built the tech platform for Goodhealth from scratch on AWS. As an Engineering Manager at Delhivery, Jayanth is responsible for creating the vision, defining the roadmap, and owning the execution of logistics applications. He has designed and planned the technical architecture of the Solutions First Party Applications with respect to tackling questions on Multi-tenancy, Data Governance, Authentication and Authorisation, Developer Platform Ecosystem. He has interviewed around 200 candidates and helped recruit developers, senior developers, TLs, and EMs across the organization and also, in this SaaS vertical. He has mentored and supported multiple developers to grow in his team as senior devs to take ownership and also ramped up the freshers into contributing and owning their charters. Jayanth has experience working with a variety of tech stacks, including AI, AWS, ML, Backend, Big Data, NLP, Django, Docker, Research Scientist, Python, DevOps, Flask, CI/CD, Java, Integration, Deep Learning, SQL, Spark, Redis, MySQL, MongoDB, Hadoop, Microservices, Search, and Software Engineer. He is a Senior Software Engineer with 4.78 years of relevant experience. Jayanth is an avid contributor to the open-source community and has developed an open-source project called Pyoracc.
