Jayesh Kshirsagar is an enthusiastic software engineer with a solid interest in large scale systems. He is currently working as a Senior Developer at SAP, where he has worked on the development and enhancement of Policy Runtime engine. This engine serves as an edge component on SAP API Integration platform and supports dynamic execution of many policies like JWT verification, traffic management, API validation, etc. Jayesh has designed this engine with a focus on performance, using lean microservices based architecture and technologies like Golang, Envoy Proxy, Istio, Redis, MinIO, and Kubernetes. Before joining SAP, Jayesh worked as a Developer at SAP, where he developed various features and enhancements of service-fabrik-broker. This broker serves as the generic Open Service Broker Specification compliant service broker for lifecycle management of backing services (postgresql, mongodb, etc.) on SAP BTP, which is SAP’s multicloud PaaS offering. Jayesh played a key role in the implementation of high-availability and security-related features in the SF broker. He was also actively involved in rearchitecturing the SF broker from factory pattern-based monolith to Operator pattern-based lean microservices architecture. He has worked on Nodejs, Golang, Python, Shell scripting, CloudFoundry, Bosh, Mongodb, Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Kubernetes Operator, etcd, AWS, Azure, GCP, Ali, and Openstack technologies. Jayesh has also worked as an Application Engineer at Oracle and has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Engineering from K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering. Jayesh is proficient in Kubernetes, microservices, Golang, Docker, MongoDB, AWS, Redis, Javascript, integration, Azure, GCP, NodeJS, and Python.
