Jayjeet Chakraborty is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur in India. He is currently working on building computational storage systems leveraging data processing frameworks like Apache Arrow and programmable storage systems like Ceph. With working knowledge in the area of big data processing and storage systems, Jayjeet is looking for exciting research opportunities in the same. His research interests include storage, big data processing, and database systems. He is seeking internships for the summer of 2023. Jayjeet has also worked as a Google Summer of Code Mentor and Open Source Head for the GNU/Linux Users' Group (GLUG) at NIT Durgapur. At GLUG, he worked on promoting open-source culture and awareness among students and contributed to various open-source projects.
