Jean Hammond is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor with over 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry. She is currently the General Partner at LearnLaunch Accelerator, where she provides seed funding, mentorship, and coaching to early-stage edtech startups. Jean is also a co-founder of Edinno, a learning community for edtech innovators, and was a member of the Boston Forum at Golden Seeds, an investment firm focused on women-managed businesses. She has been honored with the highest award for angels in the US, the Hans Severiens Award, in recognition of her contributions to the startup ecosystem. In addition to her work at LearnLaunch, Jean is an active mentor and advisor at the MIT Entrepreneurship Center, MassChallenge, and TechStars. She has played an active board level role with a number of her Boston area investments, including Crimson Hexagon, Hire Reach, Home Portfolio, Instream Media, iTeam, Peach Underneath, Pixibility, Playrific, Ten Marks, ZipCar, and others. Jean's activities with non-profits include being on the board of The Capital Network. She is passionate about driving innovation and transforming learning through education technology and is dedicated to connecting, supporting, and growing greater education technology ecosystems. LearnLaunch is a vibrant community that offers educational events, a collaborative co-working space, and a selective accelerator program to promote the growth of the education technology sector in greater Boston, a world education hub.
