Jean Tessier is a highly experienced software architect with over 27 years of relevant experience in the industry. He has worked for some of the biggest names in the tech industry, including Google, LinkedIn, and AT&T Labs, and currently works as a Software Craftsman at Gusto, a modern online people platform for small businesses. As a Co-founder and Lead Architect at Directly, Jean was responsible for designing and developing a routing engine at the core of the platform, optimizing ticket resolution rates by distributing questions to experts based on skill, performance, presence, and other variables. He also created Dependency Finder, an open-source collection of tools for analyzing compiled Java code, written in Java. Jean's specialties include Agile software development, Grails, Groovy, Java, J2EE, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, GraphQL, Kafka, event-based development, object-oriented analysis, object-oriented design, object-oriented programming, distributed objects systems, software development process, and mentoring.
