Jeanelle Horcasitas, Ph.D. is an experienced educator, writer, researcher, and digital humanist with a passion for empowering underrepresented communities. With a background in academic, government, and non-profit institutions, Jeanelle has designed content and curriculum on a variety of topics, including digital tools and media, writing and composition, ethnic studies and critical theory, financial education, and career/professional development. She has facilitated collaborations, workshops, and events with cross-functional teams, utilizing excellent written and oral communication, strategic planning, and project/program management skills. Jeanelle has a commitment to enhancing trainings/programs by evaluating short and long-term needs to sustain long-lasting impact and relevancy. Her core capabilities include AP and MLA Guidelines, teaching, advising, instructional design, leadership, training, public speaking, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Spark, and Photoshop, research and critical analysis, data and financial management, advanced reading, writing, and speaking in Spanish, marketing and content strategy, and web development skills such as HTML/CSS, SEO, WordPress, and MailChimp. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of California, San Diego, where she also earned a Candidate in Philosophy and a Master of Arts (MA). Jeanelle also holds a Project Management Professional Certificate from the Project Management Institute, a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles, and has completed various certifications and courses related to business, design, and policy making.
