Jeevan Deshpande is a Senior Design Engineer at BD, where he is part of the Mechanical Engineering team working on Change to Win/Value Cost Value Analysis strategy covering Design changes, Process changes, Material changes, Supplier changes, Manufacturing & Automation changes. He is responsible for developing innovative designs from the idea stage to a feasible product and has filed various worldwide patents. Jeevan is skilled in proofing the concepts by hand calculation, numerical simulation, and experimental test methods. He works along with various teams to build prototype parts using 3D printing, soft molding, injection molding, extrusion, etc., and conducting characterization study. Jeevan has extensive experience working on the Design Control Process and various phases in the product life-cycle. He is responsible for driving the engineering changes through proper planning & analysis of change impact, execution of change for implementation through multiple review processes & coordinating with various stakeholders. Jeevan also creates, updates, and reviews Design History Files (DHF), Device Master Record (DMR), and other related technical documents. Prior to joining BD, Jeevan worked as an R&D Engineer at Medtronic, where he gained experience in design and development of various medical devices (FDA class I, II & III) from VoX to feasibility to design transfer to product release authorization in various regions. He collaborated with global cross-functional teams for 510k submission for class IIb device in the US and OUS market. Jeevan is proficient in the Design Control Process (DCP) and various phases in the product life-cycle. He has also led the engineering changes through proper planning & analysis of change impact, execution of change for implementation through multiple review processes & coordinating with various stakeholders. Jeevan holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Design Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology. He is skilled in Finite Element Analysis, Product Design, Human Anatomy, ANSYS, and ScanIP. Jeevan has relevant experience of 9.03 years and is proficient in test, product design, and senior software engineering.
