Jeevan Kumar is a highly skilled Software Engineer 2 at Fortanix with over 3 years of experience in the industry. He is a graduate of IIT Kanpur, where he obtained his MTech degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Jeevan has a broad interest in computer systems and has worked on various projects in distributed systems, computer systems security, and compilers. Currently, Jeevan is part of the back-end engineering team of the Confidential Computing Manager (CCM) at Fortanix. He is responsible for API design and implementation of different backend features using technologies such as Rust, Python, REST framework, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure. Jeevan's experience also includes working with microservices, web development, SQL, Jupyter, Jenkins, and search. Prior to joining Fortanix, Jeevan worked as a Software Engineer at the same company and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at IIT Kanpur. As a teaching assistant, he was responsible for the course on Designing Verifiable Secure Systems (CS698K) under the instruction of Prof. Pramod Subramanyan. Jeevan's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science from IIIT Nuzvid and an MTech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur.
