Jeff Tsui is a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Netflix, with over 8 years of relevant experience in the field. He is a full-stack engineer who is passionate about using data to change the way we think. He has extensive experience working with Spark, Java, and Python to build high-scale data pipelines, as well as React, Typescript, and Java to build web applications. Prior to joining Netflix, Jeff worked at Palantir Technologies as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer, where he was a tech lead and engineered data pipelines and built web applications for several large Fortune 50 companies in the cybersecurity, aerospace, and oil and gas industries. These projects allowed domain experts to interact with data through a common Ontology to make smart and efficient business decisions. Jeff also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Palantir Technologies, where he built a Rails web app to schedule and manage interviews, potentially saving ~80 recruiter workdays per year. He used MongoDB, Backbone.js, and integrated with Salesforce and Microsoft Exchange APIs. Jeff holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from the same university.
