Jeffrey Lim is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in designing and implementing scalable distributed systems. He is currently working at foodpanda as a Software Engineer (APAC), where he is responsible for backend engineering at Vendor Growth squad. His tech stack includes Go, Serverless, AWS Batch, DynamoDB, ECS, SNS, S3, GH actions, and Terraform. Prior to joining foodpanda, Jeffrey worked at Grab as a Software Engineer, where he designed system architecture and infrastructure requirements and implemented a backend solution for Apps Release Management team to reduce regression periods and SLA violations in the weekly release train for all their tech families. He also wrote automation scripts in Google Apps Scripts for Google Sheets. His tech stack at Grab included NodeJS, AWS EC2, WAF, Elasticache, and ALB. Jeffrey holds a degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Wollongong, where he studied from 2017 to 2019. He also has a diploma in Business Information Technology from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where he studied from 2012 to 2015, and completed his secondary education at Dunearn Secondary in 2008. With over four years of relevant experience, Jeffrey is proficient in data structures and algorithms, design patterns, and software engineering. He is a product manager with a strong focus on AWS, backend infrastructure, and related technologies such as ECS, Terraform, Redis, RabbitMQ, NoSQL, and Jenkins.
