Jeffrey Xiao is a highly motivated and skilled software engineering intern currently working with the Matching Inference Team at Uber. With a strong background in computer science, Jeffrey has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in the same field from the same institution. Jeffrey has 1.78 years of relevant experience in the field and has previously worked as a Frontend Engineer with the Penn Courses Team at Penn Labs. He is proficient in various tech stacks, including Frontend and Spring, and is always eager to learn new technologies and skills. In his current role, Jeffrey works closely with his team to develop and improve the matching algorithms used by Uber. He is responsible for designing and implementing software solutions that help improve the efficiency and accuracy of the algorithms. Prior to his internship at Uber, Jeffrey served as the Head Teaching Assistant for the Programming Languages & Techniques I course at the University of Pennsylvania. In this role, he oversaw course development, TA hiring, and logistics, and worked directly with instructors to manage the course and TAs. He also assisted in new TA training, which consisted of mock recitations, office hour preparation, and sensitivity training.
