Jerrin Thomas is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in web and mobile application development. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam. With almost 5 years of relevant experience, Jerrin has worked on various projects using Java Spring Boot, Python, Angular, and MongoDB. He has a proven ability to transform complex business requirements into software components while ensuring timely delivery, scalability, performance optimization, and maintainability. Jerrin is well-versed in developing readable and well-documented code in both backend and frontend for web-based applications. He has utilized CI/CD using Jenkins to build, test, and deploy code to development and production servers. He is proficient in deploying Java microservices using Docker and Kubernetes. Jerrin has a solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Concepts in designing applications. He has also acquired knowledge of working in an Agile environment and using JIRA for project management. Currently, Jerrin is working as a Senior Software Engineer at TATA Elxsi. He has developed a Python3-based framework to measure the stability of Customer Premise Equipment and managed a team of Engineers to create Python-based test scripts to be run through the framework. He has also worked on the development of various features of the Web application in Java Springboot and Angular 7. Jerrin has created CI builds in Jenkins to continuously build, test, and integrate any feature additions to the application. Apart from his work experience, Jerrin has coordinated a team to conduct a 24-hour hackathon and various tech workshops. He has also served as the Chief Creative Officer at Startup Bootcamp RIT, where he was responsible for looking after all the creative activities and managing various social handles. Jerrin is currently seeking a Co-op opportunity for Fall 2022 and is pursuing a Postgraduate Degree in Mobile Solutions Development from Conestoga College. He has a well-rounded tech stack that includes software engineering, web and mobile development, Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD, MongoDB, microservices, frontend and backend development, AngularJS, Elastic Search, and Python.
