Jess Bombacie is a seasoned Product Design Director and User Experience (UX) Director with over 17 years of relevant experience. Currently serving as the Product Design Director and UX Director at Innovaccer, Jess is focused on utilizing AI and design to build the future of healthcare, improving the lives of providers, patients, and payers. In her current role, she is responsible for leading the Innovaccer Product Design organization, which comprises 40 product designers, managers, researchers, and writers. Jess is passionate about mentoring, hiring, and improving product design processes, and increasing organizational product design and UX maturity. She collaborates with leadership, product, engineering, sales, marketing, and support teams to consistently evangelize customer-focused experiences. Jess has a proven track record of success, having held key positions at Pitchbook Data and VMware. As the Product Design Manager and UX Manager at Pitchbook Data, Jess managed a product design team of five and optimized the team-level design process with product, engineering, and broader design stakeholders. At VMware, Jess served as the Principal Product Designer and Principal UX Designer, where she designed Secure State, a next-generation cloud security and compliance application. She managed a small team of contract UX and product designers and enabled experiences that managed and distilled massive amounts of data from thousands of cloud accounts, establishing standards across the cloud product suite by designing successful patterns and paradigms. Jess has a diverse educational background, having studied Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior at the University of Washington, where she earned an HRMOB degree. She also attended Cooper U and earned a G.E.D. from Bellevue Christian High School and Redmond High School. Jess is a versatile professional with a broad range of skills, including product design, AI, design, research science, AWS, and Azure. She is passionate about collaborating with people and improving process and tools to build systems that enable product design teams to discover and deliver greater customer value.
