Jessica Mink is a Senior Product and Engineering Leader with over 16 years of experience. She is a problem solver at heart, and her passion lies in building teams where everyone can be their best. Jessica has a track record of achieving high-level visions through incremental progress, growing empathetic leaders, and focusing on the success of the company over a particular department, leading to cross-functional approaches. She is experienced in debugging organizational dysfunction and celebrating healthy patterns. Jessica is well-versed in designing and building large-scale systems iteratively and has worked with a variety of programming languages, including Erlang, Ruby, C++, ML, and Perl. Currently, Jessica is open to part-time work, and 20 hours per week would be ideal for her. She suffered a bad concussion in June 2020, but continued to work as much as she could. However, this impaired her complete healing, so she is taking some time away from the computer. She has been working at Rockfish Gap Outfitters, selling backpacking gear to people to keep them from going completely stir crazy. Jessica has held leadership positions at various companies, including Folx Health and Auth0. At Folx Health, she led the company through its initial product launch and built the engineering team. She more than doubled the engineering team, supported exponential customer growth, and launched another full product. The team reported the culture as 80% generative on the Westrum culture scale through an anonymous survey, and was almost entirely made up of people from underrepresented groups. At Auth0, Jessica was the Sr. Director of Engineering running a 39-person organization. She defined missions for each team, taught the teams to live them, and got them to suggest long-term strategic goals that spanned more than one team. Jessica has a BS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where she graduated in 2007. She also attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology from 1999 to 2003. Her technical skills include Senior Software Engineer, Ruby, and ML. Overall, Jessica has 13.88 years of relevant experience.
