Jetendr (Jet) Shamdasani is a Lead Knowledge Engineer at Babylon Health, with over 6 years of experience in Java development. He is currently applying the Semantic Web to Medical applications in industry, and is working on creating a Linked Data/Semantic Web platform for medical professionals using his background. Jet is a former academic researcher, and is interested in applying the semantic web/linked data technologies to real world applications. Jet has a demonstrated history of working in both academia and industry, and is skilled in Java, Python, Physics, Computer Science, C++, Machine Learning, Databases, Ontologies, Semantics and Artificial Intelligence. He has a BSc (2:1), MSc (Distinction), and a PhD in Computer Science focusing on the Semantic Web/Linked data. Jet is currently in charge of the team responsible for creating the Babylon Health Knowledge Graph/Base, and is supervising a team of 8 people of various expertises in Linked Data/Semantic Web technologies. He has previously worked as a Knowledge Engineer at Babylon Health, where he was working on the Ontology Matching problem for the Medical Domain, applying his previous research experience along with newer Machine Learning techniques. Jet has also worked as a Research Fellow at CERN, where he gained valuable experience in the field of research. He is interested in the field of Data Science and is willing to apply his skills to solve real world problems. He is familiar with both supervised and unsupervised methods for the classification of data, and would love to further pursue this as a career option.
