Jeuel Wilkerson is a Senior Frontend Engineer at Mode, with over 9 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering. Prior to his current role, Jeuel was a Philosophy Professor, showcasing his diverse background and passion for learning. In his current role at Mode, Jeuel has been the main frontend contributor for projects related to authentication and SCIM identity management. He collaborates cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering teams to help define success criteria and is responsible for writing, grooming, and sizing stories to help organize development workflow. Jeuel has also integrated multiple CMS systems for public-facing pages and built out new automated continuous deployment systems. He has proposed specs for UI components in Angular design-system and helped with modernization initiatives for frontend tooling, including migrating linting tools away from TSLint and into ESLint + Prettier. Jeuel has also created and documented standards for expanding unit testing. Prior to his role at Mode, Jeuel was a Frontend Engineer at Lytmus Inc. (acquired by Checkr). In this role, he refactored and redesigned the admin and landing dashboards for the Lytmus application. He also took on testing initiatives to expand coverage of the functional test coverage across the product. The Lytmus application itself was developed using Angular.js with a Docker + NPM + Bower + Grunt.js building and tool chain. Jeuel holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Philosophy from San Francisco State University, where he completed his degree in 2012. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy from UC Davis, where he completed his degree in 2010. Jeuel has a strong technical skill set, including expertise in Frontend, test, Software Engineering, AngularJS, CI/CD, UI, Javascript, and Docker. He is a dedicated and hardworking individual who is always eager to learn and grow in his role.
