Jeyandran Venugopal is the Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) at Flipkart, India's leading ecommerce marketplace. With over 23 years of experience, Jeyandran leads a talented team spanning all of Product management, Engineering, Design and User research, Data Science, IT, Security, Infrastructure and Product operations. At Flipkart, Jeyandran is on a journey to reimagine traditional models of commerce and create value for customers and sellers by using product/technology led innovation. He works on a wide range of problems from creating engaging user experiences, ultra high scale systems, big data platforms and cutting edge data science applications. Prior to his current role, Jeyandran was the SVP of Engineering (Consumer Shopping Experience, Applied Science and Technology) at Flipkart, where he led product and engineering for several functions such as Consumer Shopping Experience, UX and User Research, Merchandising, Monetization and Marketing platforms, Ultra (Flipkart's Store in Store program), Loyalty/Lock-in program (Flipkart Plus program), Applied Science and Technology (AST), Data Science, Flipkart Data platform and products, Systems engineering and platforms, Application security and information/data security, and IT. Before joining Flipkart, Jeyandran was the SVP, Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) at Myntra Jabong, where he led all the product and technology functions for Myntra and Jabong. He was responsible for several breakthrough initiatives such as revamping the entire tech stack to be multi-tenanted and to be able to deprecate the legacy Jabong tech stack, several data science wins, building a significantly improved and consistent agile implementation practice across all the teams, and scaling the platforms across the board. Jeyandran holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering (Focus area: Computational Fluid Dynamics) from the University of Illinois and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy (Anna University). His tech stack includes Data Science, Research Science, Big Data, Infra, Product Manager, Android, iOS, AI, Senior Software Engineer, Sentiment Analysis, NLP, SDET, Test, QA, and DevOps.
