Ji Yang is a Senior Software Engineer at Google Brain, where he works on developing scalable neural recommendation systems. With over 6 years of relevant experience, Ji has a proven track record of applying advanced machine learning techniques to enhance real-time mapping products and build underwriting models. Prior to his current role at Google, Ji worked as a Research Scientist at Lyft where he focused on improving ETA prediction, real-time localization, and driver location prediction using machine learning techniques. He also worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Zest AI where he performed advanced feature engineering on in-house application data and various 3rd party financial data to build underwriting models. Ji holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. He also spent a year as an exchange student at National Taiwan University. Ji's technical expertise includes research science, software engineering, recommendation systems, machine learning, search, and mobile development.
