Jianfeng Chen is a highly experienced and skilled Research Scientist with over 3.78 years of relevant experience. He is currently working at Facebook and has previously worked as a Software Engineer Intern at both Facebook and Google Summer of Code 2016 Program. Jianfeng is a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from North Carolina State University, where he also completed his Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from Shandong University. He is an expert in automated software engineering and has published several research papers on the same. Jianfeng's technical skills include Python, AWS, Scikit, and Search. He is also familiar with data analysis and graph theory and has developed a useful Python tool called Lace, which can be found at http://lace.readthedocs.io/. Jianfeng's recent project involves auto deployments of large workflows in dynamic cloud environments, such as AWS, which has been published on arXiv at https://arxiv.org/abs/1708.08127. During his internship at Facebook, Jianfeng created the tool CxStan, which embeds the Bayesian Modeling engine, Stan, into Python and C++ programs. He also built a hierarchical framework to accelerate the Monte Carlo Sampling for the Stan modeling and integrated the tool into the buck build tool, making the Stan engine as a service. He applied the CxStan to some Facebook services' traffic policing. Jianfeng's expertise in automated software engineering, Python, and AWS, coupled with his experience in research and development, make him a valuable asset to any organization.
