Jihoon Choi is a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services with a passion for coding. With a solid foundation in interpersonal and communication skills from his past life as a middle school mathematics teacher, Jihoon has developed rich experiences in pair programming and working in groups to build full stack projects during his time at App Academy. Jihoon has experience creating dynamic web applications using React/Redux, JavaScript, Node.js, Express, Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, HTML5, and CSS. He finds building out an application, debugging code, and putting his problem-solving skills to the test to be incredibly satisfying. Prior to joining Amazon, Jihoon was a student at App Academy, where he completed a 24-week full-stack web development program. He was also a Mathematics Teacher at San Leandro Unified School District, where he presented frameworks for the application of various online educational programs and designed and implemented mathematics curricula with the integration of technology to best serve learners of diverse backgrounds in online, hybrid, and in-person classes. Jihoon holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and is currently a Full-Stack Software Engineering Student at App Academy. His tech stack includes Software Engineering, Web, Javascript, test, Redux, Flask, NodeJS, Python, and Integration. With 5.86 years of relevant experience, Jihoon is committed to continuous learning and growth in his role as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services.
