Jijnasa Nayak is a Software Developer 2 at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with a passion for research in the areas of machine learning and natural language processing. She holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, where she worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at USC Information Sciences Institute in MINDS lab under Prof. Emilio Ferrara. Jijnasa has also completed a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela. Jijnasa is a research enthusiast and is always involved in projects to gain a better understanding of machine learning and NLP. Currently, she is working as a Student Developer at Anoma Cosmetic Inc. to develop a personalized skincare recommendation system. She has also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at USC Information Sciences Institute in MINDS lab under Prof. Emilio Ferrara. Jijnasa has experience working as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon and as a Summer Intern at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi. At Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi, she led a team of three to develop a system for tracing the source of data leakage by embedding different QR codes in copies of the same document. She has presented a paper in IFIP 11.9 WG ICDF 2018. Jijnasa has also completed internships at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and Academia Sinica Taiwan. At Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, she built a depth estimation pipeline for Light Field images using a standard ResNet-101 network with atrous spatial pyramid pooling. At Academia Sinica Taiwan, she collaborated with a team of four to build deep learning models for n-hop relation detection in Knowledge-Based Question. Jijnasa has a strong technical background and is experienced in software engineering, infrastructure, NLP, research, recommendation systems, machine learning, and web development. She has 1.70 years of relevant experience and is always eager to take on new challenges.
