Jim Hodapp is a Director of Engineering at CityBase, Inc. At CityBase, Inc., Jim led the engineering strategy and direction for the company as well as two engineering teams. The first team focused on product development of their kiosk and point-of-sale application software and hardware abstractions, while the second focused on delivering customer software integration contracts across all company products. His tech stack highlights include Ruby on Rails, Elixir/Phoenix, and continuous deployment with Kubernetes. Prior to CityBase, Inc., Jim worked as an IoT Field Solutions Architect Engineering Manager at Canonical Ltd. where he managed pre-sales and post-sales team activities for Canonical's commercial IoT field work for all business in the Americas. He also worked at Technicolor as a Software Engineer, where he worked on a team to bring satellite TV to a new regional airline in Brazil and specialized in the driver layer and getting DVB-S video playing over ethernet given a current system that played DVB-S over an RF input. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Indiana University and a degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from Butler University. His relevant experience in the industry is 17.96 years.
