Jimmy Timmons is a Senior Software Engineer with over 7 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is a driven Frontend engineer who loves creating beautiful experiences and solving complex problems. Currently, he is working at a stealth startup as a Senior Software Engineer. In his previous role at Better, Jimmy accomplished significant achievements under Better Real Estate. He created an internal application responsible for housing agent and customer data, along with processing leads to connect agents to prospective buyers/sellers. He also developed Better Real Estate's CMA (Comparative Market Analysis) application to allow agents and their clients to review comparable properties when making an offer/listing a home. Additionally, he developed a consumer-facing dashboard home to the entire home buying/selling journey as a react-native cross-platform application. Jimmy also advocated for TDD (Test-Driven Development) as a practice amongst the teams he was apart of and mentored his teammates on current patterns, tech, and solutions to grow their skills. Prior to that, Jimmy worked at delivery.com as a Lead Frontend Developer. He was responsible for leading the frontend experience and ensuring the team produced quality and performant code. He was also a beacon of tech leadership for the team by keeping a heartbeat on current tech and patterns to educate and introduce to the team. Jimmy worked with product and design teams to estimate the level of effort and ensure the delivery of beautiful new features. He rearchitected the app's header and search experience to reduce user frustration and streamline the funnel experience, which has increased conversion and lowered effort of additional features to date. Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Kean University.
