Jinju Nankandiyil is a self-motivated and flexible Senior Engineering Manager at Cognizant with more than six years of experience leading engineering teams in fast-paced technology-heavy habitats. She has a proven track record of fostering innovation by structured grooming approach. With more than fifteen years of industry experience in Telecom, Retail, OTA, and insurance domain, Jinju has a strong technical background in web-based enterprise-level software development at various roles. Jinju has a good understanding of new and emerging technology landscape of IOT, Cloud Computing, Digital Transformation, Social Media Analytics, Big Data, AI, and ML at decision-maker level as endorsed by post-graduate diploma in IT management and Analytics by Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK). She is an Agile transformation catalyst certified by SAFe (SAFe Agilist) with extensive experience setting up and scaling teams both co-located and distributed. Jinju is currently leading agile delivery at Cognizant as a Senior Engineering Manager. She has also worked as an Engineering Manager driving IT project delivery in Agile mode. She was responsible for Agile transformation, scaling, and facilitating multi-ethnic, multilingual distributed agile pods in the value stream. She joined Cognizant in 2016 and took up the challenge to transform a bunch of teams working in the iterative model to form an agile release train (SAFe), joining hands with a couple of other scrum masters in the guidance of an agile coach. She successfully launched and managed to scale the train with adding 2 more teams in 6 months. Jinju has also worked as a Technical Lead at Skyrocket Software Services Pvt Ltd. She joined in 2015 March as a technical lead cum scrum master, holding the technology ownership of the team. She successfully hired and enabled the technology startup of about 20 developers and a solutions architect to deliver as two scrum teams in a couple of months. She has hands-on experience in integrating GDS systems like Amadeus, Galileo, and other services for OTA business. Jinju holds a post-graduate diploma in IT management and Analytics by Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NSS College of Engineering Palakkad.
