Jithin Pavithran is an experienced ethical hacker and cybersecurity engineer with a passion for breaking things. With over three years of experience in pentesting, Jithin has worked with thick clients, APIs, and infrastructure, but finds web application pentesting to be the most exciting. He is OSCP certified and currently works as a Security Specialist (Pentester) at Secura, where he continues to hone his skills. Jithin's interest in cybersecurity began during his college days, where he completed a dual degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from IIT Madras. He also published research on malware evasion techniques during this time. After college, Jithin completed two internships with the Signal Intelligence Department of the Indian Army, which helped kick off his cybersecurity career. Prior to joining Secura, Jithin worked at Visa as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer and Cybersecurity Engineer. While at Visa, he was part of a newly formed Incident Response team dedicated to Application Security. He was also a member of the Ethical Hacking team, where he conducted infrastructure security assessments and performed pentesting on web applications, thick clients, and operating systems. Additionally, Jithin conducted real-world-like CTFs for Cybersecurity engineers and developers and received 'Team spotlight' and 'Star of the Quarter' awards within a year of joining. Jithin keeps himself up to date with the latest technology trends and enjoys discussing them. His tech stack includes web, infrastructure, research scientist, and test. With his solid understanding of real-world attacks and ethical hacking skills, Jithin is a valuable asset to any cybersecurity team.
