Jithin is a highly motivated and driven individual with a passion for learning and trying out new things. With over 7 years of experience in the telecommunication industry, Jithin has established himself as an expert in Wireless Physical (PHY) Layer algorithm (L1) development. He has led multiple customer-critical products and feature releases as a technical lead for Wireless/Cellular (5G NR and LTE-A) RF T&M software (RFmx 5G NR) and has a good understanding of 3GPP PHY layer (L1) specifications. Jithin’s strengths and interests lie in digital signal processing (DSP) and wireless communication. He has experience in developing DSP algorithms for cellular and wireless communication applications and has expertise in L1 algorithm/DSP code architecture and code optimization. He is also a cellular PHY layer expert, having worked in different cellular standard projects including 5G NR, LTE/LTE-A/LTE A Pro, C-V2X, NB-IoT, and eMTC. Jithin has in-depth knowledge of Physical layer spec of LTE/LTE A/LTE Pro and NR standard. Jithin is proficient in programming languages such as C, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, and SQL. He is a go-to person in the team for complicated customer escalations and is well-versed in agile/Azure DevOps. He is also a process automation enthusiast and a self-learner, picking up interesting new skills and diving deep using online courses and books. Examples include Python, Data Analysis, Advanced excel, data visualization, Time management, etc. Currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at National Instruments, Jithin has worked as a feature lead and lead developer in multiple 5G NR L1 features. He has actively worked on customer-critical features with very strict timelines and close interaction with the customers. He has also actively worked on tracking 3GPP PHY/L1 spec updates for 5G NR and LTE. Parallel to the NR 5G project, Jithin has worked as a tech-lead and technical owner for two major releases for RFmx LTE/LTE-A/LTE Pro. He has worked closely with management and other stakeholders in defining the requirement and scope of each release and actively worked with developers in resolving technical hurdles, defining test cases, etc. He has also worked closely with the product manager in defining Agile goals and user stories for smooth execution of the project.
