João Ramos is a highly skilled Senior Product Designer with over 12 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working with Zalando, where he holds the position of Senior Product Designer. Prior to his current role, João has worked with some of the leading companies in the industry, including Contentful and Sumup. During his tenure at Contentful, he was responsible for leading the design of the authoring experience, delivering features such as nested content editing, saved searches and filters, editorial tasks and activity, translations, documentation, and developer onboarding. He also co-led the design system and established procedures and guidelines to streamline the product design process. João was instrumental in building an open design culture and helped grow the product design team from three to nine people in the course of four years. At Sumup, João was the Lead Designer and was responsible for designing the web app for the merchant experience. He also supported the design of iOS and Android apps and designed the terminal-smartphone payment experience. He led and supported the design team, ensuring that the design standards were maintained at all times. João has a Master's degree in Interface Design and Usability from the IT-Universitetet i København and a Bachelor and Master's degrees in Communication Technology and Design from the Universidade de Aveiro. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in product design, designing for Android, iOS, and Web.
