He also served as the Head of Business Development (Payments) at Grab, where he enabled instant payouts for drivers, expanded the portfolio of local funds-in options to over 50+ channels across the region, and launched 100+ Grab Rewards partnerships to engage and retain passengers over time. Joel's education background includes attending the International School of Brussels and the American International School in Vienna. His tech stack includes senior software engineering and integration. At Rapyd, Joel is responsible for driving the company's growth in the Asia Pacific region. He is currently hiring for strategic sales and business development roles, sales and solution engineers, payment operations and service, and merchant onboarding and risk management.
