John Park is a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for Cyber Security. He currently works at Trelly, a software company based in Dallas, where he has been since November 2019. Prior to Trelly, John worked at Cerner as a Software Engineer from May 2019 to August 2019, where he worked on an automated Threat Modeling solution. John graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University in May 2019. During his time at Iowa State University, John worked as a research assistant with Dr. Guan, where he researched how to analyze data to identify a legitimate URL and developed a Java program to collect data to detect web-cloaking. In addition to his academic and professional experience, John has also been involved in extracurricular activities. He served as a senator of Student Government, president of UNICEF at Iowa State University, a calculus tutor for Academic Success Center, and a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club. John's technical skills include Software Engineering, Research Science, Java, and Web. He has relevant experience of 3.87 years, which includes his work at Trelly and Cerner, as well as an internship at MidAmerican Energy Company, where he distributed software and managed patch over 6,600 Windows by using SCCM, replaced End-of-Life Cisco Switches, and assisted in configuring the new switches. John is passionate about finding secure and convenient ways to keep people's personal and professional data safe.
