He is currently working as a Program Cost Analyst at Acuity International. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering and Sustainability from Carnegie Mellon University, John has gained in-depth knowledge and expertise in his field. John has worked as a Construction Estimator at Telligent Masonry, LLC and Bartley Corporation, where he was responsible for preparing project cost estimates and change order pricing using estimating software from design to award phase. He has conducted meetings between estimating and field teams to discuss project breakdown and RFIs upon award and provided value engineering services to assist architects and GCs with budget solutions. John has also spearheaded OneNote files to train new hires on the estimating processes and material historical pricing. He has completed scope of work and bid pricing breakdowns for each job and contacted multiple vendors to procure material quotes for trades on each job. John has interpreted project plans and specifications (Architectural, Structural, Civil, Landscape, and MEP drawings) and conducted quantity take-off measures of various commercial and residential projects. He has also gained knowledge of the project folder, field package, cost control system, and field payroll system. John is a former professional football player who has played for several teams. He is a team player with excellent leadership and communication skills. John is also a Senior Software Engineer with 4.18 years of relevant experience.
