Jonathan Choong is a highly motivated and detail-oriented student at the National University of Singapore (NUS) pursuing a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Economics) Hons. He has a strong interest in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and has gained relevant experience as an NLP Intern at the Ministry of Manpower. As an NLP Intern, Jonathan applied NLP techniques in Python to clean unstructured (free text) data and plotted visualizations using Matplotlib and Tableau. He also conducted a literature review on back injury prevention for publication ‘Trending in WSH’ and converted and simplified predictive modelling ML scripts from R to Python. Jonathan has also worked as a Data Operations Intern at AImazing where he automated data checking processes through Python scripts and conducted data field tagging and capturing from F&B, retail receipts using RegEx. He has also gained exposure to Agile and Scrum methodology for software development as an Intern at Taiger where he developed training data for chatbot and assisted in QA testing. Jonathan's strong technical skills include NLP, Python, ML, test, qa, and software engineering. He is a quick learner and has a passion for applying his skills to real-world problems. With 0.93 years of relevant experience, Jonathan is eager to continue expanding his knowledge and skills in the field of NLP and contribute to innovative solutions in the industry.
