Jose Ortiz is a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer with over 6 years of relevant experience in the technology industry. Currently, he is working at Tastemakers Africa, where he is responsible for implementing new features during sprints and leading certain Epics. He also played a key role in implementing a refactor to the current front end to improve performance and load time. He works closely with the CTO to review PRs (Pull Requests) and deploy. Prior to his current position, Jose worked as an IT Specialist at The Dreamyard Preparatory School, where he helped students and staff stay up to date with their current tech. He managed repairs, helped with applying new software, taught a technology class revolving around gaming, software, and mostly hardware, and also helped in teaching how to redesign the school website. He also holds a Computer Software Certification in Computer Software Engineering from The Knowledge House, where he graduated in 2016.
