Joseph Katz is a software engineer at Google with a passion for problem-solving and debugging. With a formal educational background in mathematics, he has experience building dynamic iOS and web applications in Swift, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and HTML/CSS. Joseph believes that every bug is a learning experience and has seen more than his fair share of them as a tutor and instructor in CS. Prior to joining Google, Joseph worked as a software engineer at Doran Jones Inc. and as an iOS instructor at ID Tech Camps. At ID Tech Camps, he taught groups of eight teenagers how to create iPhone applications and even created “Pokemon: Joe” excursions that inspired one student’s final project. Joseph has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science from New York University, an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Eastern Florida State College, and a Web Development degree from App Academy. He also holds a high school diploma from West Shore Jr./Sr. High School. His tech stack includes Ruby, iOS, Javascript, Web, and Swift. With 6.78 years of relevant experience, Joseph is a skilled software engineer with a passion for learning and problem-solving.
