Joshua Hannan is a skilled Machine Learning Engineer currently working at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as part of the Annapurna Labs Neuron SDK team. He is responsible for developing and deploying high-performance deep learning models for large-scale computer vision and natural language processing applications. With a relevant experience of 2.85 years, Joshua is an expert in ML, AWS, Web, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, Python, Neural Networks, and Research Scientist. Joshua holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Skidmore College. He has also worked as a Machine Learning Intern at Marvell Semiconductor, where he used formal verification to verify the functionality of modules used in Marvell's machine learning accelerator. He also developed Python programs used to prepare, process, and analyze data to evaluate the performance and accuracy of neural network frameworks used in the machine learning accelerator. Joshua has also worked as a Research Assistant at Skidmore College's Nonlinear Optics Lab, where he developed MATLAB and Python scripts that used finite differential methods and nondimensionalization to model the intrinsic hyperpolarizability and nonlinear response of organic molecules based on their conjugated paths. Apart from his professional work, Joshua is an avid skier, cyclist, and enjoys playing guitar. He is also passionate about high-performance large-scale machine learning and software engineering and is actively looking for talented individuals to join the AWS team.
